I was in the group traveling southbound from Peru to Chile for the 2019 total solar eclipse. We arrived a few days before the main group to do the Nazca Lines flight, before traveling to Valle Sagrado, Machu Picchu, and Cusco. We spent two nights at Valle Sagrado, where we were able to do some astroimaging and observing of the southern night sky. From there we flew to La Serena, where we stayed for three nights, before and after viewing the eclipse from Vicuña. Afterward we took a brief tour of Santiago.
